EFFECTIVE NOVENA TO THE HOLY GUARDIAN ANGELS: DAY 8

Opening Prayer:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Heavenly Father, as we come before you on Day 8 of this Novena to our Guardian Angels, we are filled with gratitude for their constant presence and guidance. We ask that you continue to deepen our awareness of their role in our lives and grant us the grace to respond to their promptings with faith and trust.  Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Scriptural Reading and Meditation:
Read and meditate on Hebrews 13:2:

“Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”

Meditate on the presence of angels in disguise around you. Consider the idea that divine assistance often comes in unexpected ways, even through the presence of strangers. Visualize your guardian angel probably disguised as a needy around you. Pray the good Lord to grant you the grace to be kind and hospitable to everyone, recognizing the presence of God in them. Here are some points to consider:

1. 1. 1. Hospitality to Strangers: Contemplate the exhortation in this verse to show hospitality to strangers. Visualize acts of kindness and welcome extended to those you may not know or recognize. This message encourages us to be open-hearted and generous in our interactions with others.
      2. Angels Unawares: Reflect on the intriguing idea that some have entertained angels without realizing it. Angels can take on human form when sent by God, appearing as ordinary individuals. Consider how this emphasizes the hidden and sometimes unexpected nature of divine intervention.
      3. Your Guardian Angel: Apply this concept to your relationship with your Guardian Angel. Your angel is a constant presence in your life, often working behind the scenes to guide, protect, and support you. Reflect on moments when you may have been unaware of your Guardian Angel’s influence or assistance.
      4. Acknowledging Divine Guidance: Consider the importance of acknowledging and being attentive to the divine guidance and assistance we receive, whether from strangers or our Guardian Angels. Express gratitude for the hidden but powerful ways in which God and our Guardian Angels work in our lives.
      5. Acts of Kindness: Contemplate how acts of kindness and hospitality can be a reflection of God’s love and a way to respond to His call to care for one another. Visualize opportunities in your life where you can extend hospitality to others, even to those you may not know well.
      6. Prayer of Gratitude: Offer a prayer of gratitude for your Guardian Angel, recognizing their role in guiding, protecting, and supporting you throughout your life. Ask for the grace to be more aware of their presence and guidance.

As you meditate on this verse, express your gratitude to your Guardian Angel for their unceasing presence and advocacy in your life. Consider establishing a deeper and more intentional dialogue with your Guardian Angel through prayer. Seek their intercession and guidance in your daily life, trusting that they are eager to assist you in fulfilling your ultimate destiny of inheriting salvation.

Take a moment to reflect on how you can improve your relationship with your Guardian Angel. Consider how you can be more aware of their presence and guidance in your daily life. This may include praying to them more frequently, asking for their help in specific situations, or simply acknowledging their presence with gratitude. In this very context, utilize this moment to thank your guardian angel for offering that ONE petition you asked him to God. Thank him for interceding for you as your closest friend. Thank God in faith for the answered prayer, and believing God for your testimonies.

Angel of God, my Guardian dear,
To whom God’s love commits me here,
Ever this day/night be at my side,
To light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.

Concluding Prayer:
Heavenly Father, as we conclude this seventh day of our novena, we thank you for the assurance that the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear you. We acknowledge the protective and guiding presence of our Guardian Angels in our lives. Help us to deepen our reverence for you and to respond with faith and trust to the guidance of our Guardian Angels. We pray for their continued intercession and assistance as we navigate the challenges of life. May their loving care be a source of comfort and strength. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Even if I walk in the valley of the shadow of death, the Lord is with me, He has sent my guardian angel to minister, guard, and protect me…
