Day 5 Opening Prayer

Resplendent Lily of Paradise, lovable Mary, the Holy Spirit takes delight in your birth for He sees in you the soul never stained by sin, which would forever be His worthy Temple. May your birth give joy to my soul also, by obtaining for me from the Holy Spirit His divine love and final perseverance. Dearest Mother, please pray for me and for these my intentions… (State your intentions). Amen

Prayer

Oh, Blessed Virgin Mary! Chosen and destined by the majestic Trinity to be the Mother of the only begotten Son of the Father, announced by the prophets, expected from the Patriarchs, and desired by all people; Tabernacle and living Temple of the Holy Spirit, Sun without spot, because you were conceived without original sin, Lady of heaven and earth, Queen of angels; we humbly come before you, and rejoice in the solemn annual celebration of your joyful birth; and from the depths of our hearts, we beseech you to be graciously born spiritually in our souls, so that we may be captivated by your love and sweetness, may we always remain united to your so sweet and loving heart.

Today, we beseech your maternal intercession on behalf of married couples who seek the ‘fruit of the womb’ (mention the names of those you wish to pray for). O blessed Mother, You know their deep desire for a child; a little one to love and to hold, to care for, to cherish. Intercede with the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life, from whom all parenthood proceeds, that their bodies may conceive and raise healthy children who will please God in this life and be heirs to the Kingdom of Heaven. Grant that they may be guided in all their choices so that the conception, pregnancy, and the child’s birth would be in line with the divine will. Amen.
