POWERFUL NOVENA TO THE RISEN LORD: DAY 6 (FOR DEBT PAYMENT/RELIEF AND FOR THOSE INDEBTED TO US)

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Our help is in the Name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

Opening Prayer:
Heavenly Father, As we begin this sixth day of our novena in honour of the Resurrection, we come before You with gratitude for the gift of Your Son’s victory over death. Open our hearts to receive Your Word and Your grace, that we may grow ever deeper in our understanding of this great mystery. May Your Spirit guide us as we reflect on the wonders of the Resurrection and inspire us to live as joyful witnesses of Your love (pause and pray for families and individuals burdened by debt and for those indebted to us; also add your private intention). We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Short Meditation

In this passage, we witness the bold proclamation of the apostles regarding the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Despite facing opposition and persecution, they fearlessly testified to the reality of Christ’s resurrection, which was the foundation of their faith and ministry. The resurrection of Jesus was not merely a theological concept for the early Christians; it was a lived reality that transformed their lives and empowered their witness. They experienced firsthand the power of Christ’s resurrection, which enabled them to boldly proclaim the gospel message and perform signs and wonders in His name. The apostles’ testimony to the resurrection was not based on speculation or hearsay but on personal encounter and experience. They had seen the risen Lord, touched Him, and eaten with Him. Their testimony was credible and compelling, leading many to believe in the message they proclaimed. The impact of the apostles’ testimony was well felt, as evidenced by the great grace that was upon them all. Their witness to the resurrection not only brought salvation to many but also fostered unity and generosity within the early Christian community.

As modern-day disciples of Jesus Christ, we are called to follow in the footsteps of the apostles by bearing witness to the resurrection. Like them, we are called to share the good news of Jesus’ victory over sin and death with courage and conviction. May we, too, experience the amazing grace and power of Christ’s resurrection in our lives and boldly proclaim it to the world. Amen.

Concluding Prayer
Merciful God, as we conclude this sixth day of our novena, We thank You for the gift of faith and the assurance of Your Son’s Resurrection. Help us to trust in Your promises and to proclaim with confidence the reality of His victory over death. May we, like Thomas, encounter the risen Christ and profess Him as our Lord and God. We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
